Habib Sangaré

Habib Sangaré plays the bolon and calabash and founded the Djiguiya Orchestra together with his colleagues Lassine Koné and Joel Diarra. The orchestra from Bamako, which was founded in 2019, is dedicated to independent contemporary music. It combines traditional instruments from Mali with European music, creating a special transcultural exchange. They gained international recognition with the multimedia music performance AM ANFANG by Marc Sinan and a choreography by Kettly Noël.
