Maria Schneider

Maria Schneider is a drummer, multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter living in Berlin. She grew up near Hanover in a family of musicians and after school studied classical percussion at the Academy of Music " Hanns Eisler " in Berlin.

Since 2013 she is a permanent member of the " Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra ", was a member of the " European Union Youth Orchestra ( EUYO ) ", played at the Proms in the Royal Albert Hall in London, at the World Drum Festival, as well as the Roskilde Festival. She has performed with Hermeto Pasqoal, Benny Greb, Ina Modji and in orchestras such as the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, the Elbphilharmonie Orchestra Hamburg, the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Rundfunk Sinfonie Orchester Berlin. Maria Schneider participated in the Deutsches Theater under the direction of Krill Serebrennikov in the production " Decamerone ", in music theater productions in the Schaubühne Berlin, the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, in Kampnagel Hamburg, in the Musonturm Frankfurt and in the theater collective " She She Pop ". She plays regularly with the "Stargaze Ensemble" and participated in various album productions.
