No Borders Orchestra

The No Borders Orchestra is a symphony orchestra composed of outstanding professional musicians from the Western Balkans. It was born from the desire to create a regional, cross-border symphony orchestra, offering the highest artistic quality and requiring a new way of communication. The NBO project rests on two main pillars: music and society. In all of NBO's performances, musical excellence is balanced with a comprehensive social awareness. Founded in 2012 in both Belgrade and Berlin, NBO is a non-governmental organization whose goal is to initiate positive social development through the power of reconciliation and creative collaboration. By seeking ways to deconstruct and transform communities, advocating for positive change, and engaging societies to become more inclusive, intercultural, democratic, and open, NBO serves as a platform for overcoming nationalism, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, and the bloody legacy of the past in the Western Balkan region and beyond.
