Ensemble Metamorphosis

Since its foundation in 2005, the Belgrade ensemble Metamorphosis has established itself in the Serbian classical music scene as an inspiring ensemble with outstanding and innovative interpretations of the classical repertoire as well as the music of local and international contemporary composers. The founders of the ensemble are violist Saša Mirković and cellist Tatjana Jovanović Mirković. From the cautious and well-measured build-up of meditative moods to lively virtuosic passages and powerful, furious crescendos, the orchestra confidently and determinedly brings a wide range of colors and emotions to bear. Metamorphosis usually performs without a conductor and is led by the charismatic and energetic Saša Mirković. If necessary, the original instrumentation can be expanded to include additional instruments, electronic and scenic elements.
