Jerelee de la Rosa
Jerelee de la Rosa holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Theory and Pedagogy from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo. She is a music teacher, artistic director of the group Merengue de Cámara and, since 2017, scientific assistant to Edis Sánchez and member of DRUMAYOR.
As a double bass player, Jerelee was a member of the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Juvenil and the Orquesta Sinfónica Juan Pablo Duarte, the latter belonging to the National Conservatory of Music, where she also received lessons in playing traditional percussion instruments. She was also assistant of the Rhythmic Band in the program "Ángeles de la Cultura" of the Office of the First Lady of the Dominican Republic and collaborator for digitization in the Office ofro for Special Programs of the President, where she worked on the "Coordinación de Territorios Creativos" program and on the application of the city of Santo Domingo for the status of UNESCO Creative City of Music.
