Rebecca Beyer
Violin
A freelance violinist living in Berlin, Rebecca Beyer regularly plays with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Ensemble Resonanz, and NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester and has performed at festivals such as BBC Proms, Lucerne Festival, Holland Festival, Sydney Festival, and Tongyeoung International Music Festival.
She received her musical education from Christian Tetzlaff before
studying at Lübeck and Berlin universities with Prof. Nora Chastain.
Her
older brother being a passionate player of jazz, she never felt
restricted to the classical genre, a circumstance that greatly shaped
her attitude towards the musical profession. She played in the Piazzolla
Band Tangologia with whom she recorded an album and toured many jazz
festivals. As founding member of the Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop, she
has performed in a great variety of experimental, interdisciplinary
settings.
Recently, she has taken up conference interpreting and is pursuing a master’s degree in the field.
