David-Maria Gramse
Violin
David-Maria Gramse studied violin at the Lübeck University of Music and at the Prins Claus Conservatory in Holland. He performs internationally in various formations from duo to chamber orchestra, on modern instruments with the Ensemble Resonanz or the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, as well as on historical instruments with the Dresden Festival Orchestra, the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble under Thomas Hengelbrock, or the Parisian orchestra Le Cercle de l'Harmonie. Another focus of his work as a violinist is the performance of contemporary music in collaboration with composers.
David-Maria Gramse has been a member of Ensemble Resonanz in Hamburg since 2011. In addition to his work as a musician, he has developed and implemented a wide variety of ideas for classical music as a board member together with the management team and ensemble, from the digital stage and platform resonanz.digital, the anchor offerings of the resonanzen concert series and the hybrid installation "Im Wald", as well as curating the award-winning "urban string" concert series, which he regularly hosts.
His experience in the development of creative artistic formats also flows into lectures and regular workshops in very different contexts, for example at the University of Music Lübeck, the University of Music and Theater Munich, for the TONALi competition, the WDR Funkhausorchester or as part of the management seminars of Common Purpose.
