In "Unsettling Sounds", Cymin Samawatie and Ketan Bhatti discuss the significance of free and conducted improvisation and comprovisation for contemporary music, which the Berlin Trickster Orchestra is developing in response to the increasing threat to open society.

In response to the omnipresent degradation of migration and the increasing threat to an open society, the Berlin ensemble has developed new collective improvisation concepts and compositions. Since its founding in 2013, the ensemble has been experimenting with improvisation and collective composition. In this album / podcast, the two artistic directors speak:Cymin Samawatie and Ketan Bhatti, alternating with live improvisations by the orchestra, talk about what improvisation means for contemporary music and trans-traditional approaches and what significance it has in the work of the Trickster Orchestra - from completely free improvisations to conducted improvisations and new music compositions.
