Huguette Tolinga Lola

Huguette Tolina Lola is a self-taught percussionist. She began her career as a percussionist in the contemporary dance company Jacques BANA and in the group Quartier Latin. In 2009, she joined first the group NADINA and then the group "NSANGO MBONDA". In 2010, on the impetus and under the guidance of the Tam - Tam Company, she founded her own formation HUGUEMBO, specializing in percussion instruments, especially the tam-tam, and singing. Her performances delight the audience with her playing of the tam-tam and her use of traditional instruments such as the horn, xylophone and calabash, which she combines with her singing, some dance steps and modern instruments (guitar, drums, saxophone) that accompany the melodies and musical pieces.
