Daniel Gloger
Voice
The countertenor Daniel Gloger inspires composers
of our time to new sounds like hardly any other singer in his field. He
is passionate in his search for the ideal interpretation of a work, as
he is in historical and classical music. A regular guest at European festivals of new music, he has performed over 200 world premieres, including at the Ultraschall Festival Berlin, Musica Viva Munich and others.
With great wit and a characteristic voice, Daniel Gloger is a
sought-after performer in contemporary music theater. Among his
outstanding works here are the title role in Adriana Hölszky’s »Der gute
Gott von Manhattan« (Schwetzinger SWR Festspiele, 2004 and Semperoper
Dresden, 2005) and the title role in the world premiere of Bernhard
Lang’s »Montezuma–Fallender Adler« at the Nationaltheater Mannheim in 2010. A native of Stuttgart, Germany, he completed his
vocal studies with Donald Litaker at the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe in
2005 with a concert degree. His discography includes several CD recordings amongst others with
pianist Peter von Wienhardt, the Saarbrücken Chamber Choir and many more.
Since the fall of 2019, Daniel Gloger has held a permanent position as a lecturer at the Bern University of the Arts.
