Guillermo Anzorena

The Argentine Bartion Guillermo Anzorena studied singing at the School of Music of the University National of Cuyo. In 1991 he was a prize winner at the singing competition “Young Voices” in Buenos Aires, and in 1993 he was awarded “Young Talent of the Year” by the Richard Wagner Society. In addition, he occupied himself with the German Lied. Anzorena completed his studies in Karlsruhe. His engagements as an opera singer have taken him to the Constance Opera Summer and the Stuttgart Young Opera, among others. CD and radio recordings, among others with the SWR and the Junge Oper Stuttgart accompany his solo career. He has recorded several song cycles by Carlos Guastavino and, as a member of the Ostinato Foundation, performs internationally with works by contemporary Argentine composers. Since March 2000 he has been a member of the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart. During a guest performance of the Neue Vocalsolisten in Bergamo he sang the leading role in the world premiere of the opera Si by Roberto Andreoni. Since October 2000 he has been a lecturer in voice at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik in Tübingen.
